After looking into nursing homes and not feeling comfortable with that route, we decided on home care for my stepdad, who has Parkinson’s. The care team comes in daily to assist with movement, hygiene, and medication, and they’ve also provided useful advice on home modifications. It’s been a journey learning what works best. I'd love to hear what others have done for home safety—things like grab rails or stairlifts. Are there grants or support programs available for that in the UK?
